Ongoing project with Broadford School, Limerick.

Working in collaboration with resin and recylced plastics artist Evelyn Sorohan with the children of Broadford school. This project involved the children using resin for the first time with plastics and jewelry they collected for it. The brief was to create a mural to enhance the school yard and to learn about the local flora and fauna around their school environment. The theme chosen was that of the Broadford giants who had thrown clods of earth at one another which turned in the Broadford hills and lake Doon. This story was adapted to turn the clods of earth into butterflies , dragonflies, bees being thrown into the air by a woman giant and fish in a small pool of lake Doon’s water by a man giant. The children really enjoyed working on a big scale and found great interest and joy in working with resin.
