The Door of Knowledge

The commission for the new school, St.Joseph's , in Tulla is a wall mounted glass panel in the school hall. It is 14 feet wide and 7 feet high,and is 20 feet up from ground level. The school priest asked me to create something traditional though he wanted St. Joseph to be modern. I wanted to include a girl in the piece as it is a mixed school and felt it was important to have the feminine represented. This project allowed me to experiment with the effects of crushed glass on a large scale and develop my interest in photographic decal.
